Please read an introduction to Amigas in the Amiga 1000 entry.
A simple variation on the Amiga 2000. This model actually reads "Amiga 2000" on the serial number sticker. So, what's the difference? Well, this Amiga 2000 variation was only sold in England, for one thing. Another is that the 1500 comes standard with two floppy drives, as opposed to the one in the 2000.
The A1500 may have been a response to the Checkmate 1500, which was a third party case for mounting an Amiga 500 in a desktop. Since the motherboards are not the same, however, this seems unlikely.

Personal Note:
Another eBay find. Purchased merely
out of curiousity. Was quickly put away. The one I have has been
upgraded with a GVP SCSI card including 6mb extra ram and 200mb hard drive.:)
