Guess who got a job? Me!!! Yeah! Vance told me his store is about to lose about 4 instores because school is starting back, so I decided I would turn in an application. I mean, with my experience at Papa Johns how could they not at least consider me? Yes, I believed in myself for a change! So this afternoon we rolled out of bed and I accompanied him to work and filled out an application and got hired on the spot. Yes! Sure, it's Papa Johns, and yeah, it's in fucking South Austin, but you know what else it is? Money. Income. Something to do. At this point I am no position to turn down any of those things. I have orientation on Thursday and then they'll probably have me start on Friday. I'm so fucking psyched.
I know it's bad to "sleep where you work", but I am capable of being professional and if need be ignoring Vance during work. I know he is beyond capable of doing that as well. I don't want there to be that kind of strain on our relationship, especially this early. Anyway, I am going to finish my celebratory Chili, take a shower and dig up those khaki-colored pants. See you on the flip-side.
